  1. I’m loving this book right now. Sure gives you incite into the Christian religion that has evolved into what we see and hear about today. This is what happened when throughout history the voices of women were suppressed and discounted by men. Though I don’t read much fiction, I recently read Sue Monk Kidd’s The Book of Longing which imagines that Jesus had a feminist wife. It’s also very interesting. I love the quote you shared. I’ve highlighted a whole bunch!

  2. Cynthia, Me too. I am getting so much out of it. Funny, you mentioned Sue Monk Kidd. One of my blog readers Susan just sent me \”The Mermaid's Chair\”, it's on my list to read. I loved \”The Secret Life of Bees\”, the movie, I didn't read the book. The love story between Mary Magdalene and Jesus is so beautiful:) I'll have to check out \”The Book of Longing\” Janet
